Samsung Batteries

My HZ35W uses a SLB 11A battery, it has 1130mAH @ 3.8V. The new WB850f uses a SLB 10A, it has 1050mAH @ 3.7V. It seems like a step backward with less mAH in the 10A battery. They are both the same size physically and use the same charger. Wonder why Samsung did that?

Hard to say, could be regulations changing the battery design, a different supplier for the cells, or who knows. My guess is there is little practical difference between them. If they will work in the same cameras you could try them and see if one lasts longer.

Re: Samsung Batteries

Definitely sounds like a step backwards, especially when power consuming accessories are added, like wifi.
