SX30 SX40 Comparison shot
May 4, 2012
I've owned the SX30 since early 2011 and looked at the SX40 recently at Best Buy.
Was able to snap a quick shot from my 30 and the store 40 of flag across the store, both cameras set to auto (I didn't have much time and I thought the auto might give a quick and dirty comparison of the two).
Opened the two images in Photoshop, did no PP, snipped the images, saved that file, uploaded as you see here, 30 on left, 40 on right. Notable purple fringe difference jumps out at me.
