WB850F and other cameras announced January

They were announced in January. They are on the Samsung web site. Other manufacturers whose cameras were only announced this month are already in the database.

Well, I guess that answers my other question - does anyone at DPREVIEW ever look at the forum? Answer - no. So how do they get feedback as to what tehy are doing and whether anyone is making useful suggestions for improvement? Probably very much the same answers as the two responses to my first question. Ah well, I'll keep looking for a site that gives a complete roundup on an impartial basis.

The forum really need splitting into a Compact and NX section. Mixing RAW enthusiasts, who think any camera JPEG is rubbish, and small sensor compact fans is never going to work even with the best will in the world and DPR does not always have a lot of that. An example is shown below of a response to a posting of Samsung compact pictures.

Everyone here pretends and perpetuates some sort of conspiracy against Samsung from DPR and even DPR has cleared up some of the outright lies being told by many here, including the not-so-sharp EX1 lens. i actually brought that up to DPR and they clarified it to my satisfaction (they had multiple copies).

The main problem is on Samsung's end. They feel they do just fine with social networking and marketing to people that believe 16MP from a 1/2/3 sensor is the same thing (or even better) than an APS or Full Frame sensor with fewer MP.

So I wouldn't worry because DPR is not the crowd they are marketing to and won't make them any money.

You cannot say "everyone here" about anything. I am sure there are as many opinions as people posting in the forum. It just yet another example of your repetitive immature ranting hyperbole.
