Finally, someone found it.

This is my friend's project and I have been using it for few months already.

It works like magic.

Hi OWHK, I'm interested on mod of HVL-F7S with PC port shown in the Mammon V2 forum.
Do you have some info about it? or contact information?
How is it internally connected the PC Port?
Im in the other side of the world, so all is DIY for me!
And I don't need wireless by now, just to trigger a flash by PC Sync Port.

Thanks!

As the disclaimer says, this is really only intended for use with small flash triggers and small flash units since the port and mounting screw on the NEX cameras wasn't designed to hold nearly as much weight as a standard hotshoe.

Still, I'm excited to get my hands on one of these.

I would think most would be looking to put a radio trigger on it for off camera flash no?

Re: NEX hotshoe/pc connector adapter

I wrote two eMails to nexproshop. Up to now I'm not enlighted by the reply received, if it was a human at all ? Details at http://nex-hack.blogspot.com

BTW, if you like to modify the NEX flash yourself, this link might help you by providing some technical information.

I have got an e-mail back saying they start shipping on pre-orders on Monday. If anyone here has ordered I'd like to see how it works, I could use one big time !

Re: NEX 5N hotshoe adapter.

I didn't read this whole thread so forgive me if someone else has already mentioned this.

I know a couple of people with a 5n that have bought the add on EVF and are planning to spend an additional $80.00 on this adapter.

Personally, if I were them, I'd sell my 5n and buy an NEX 7.

They'd be a little ahead of the game and have less money invested.

Re: NEX 5N hotshoe adapter.

Nex7 is still more, but yeah, the price is creeping up towards the 7 price at that point.

You're right.

I just checked current prices and you would be saving between $250.00 and $300.00 dollars.

That's quite a bit of money but probably still, money well spent.

Just the usability factor would be something to consider. Can't use the EVF with the flash adapter.

I can understand a person wanting to use a normal flash attachment with their camera because that's one (1 of 2) of my biggest complaints about the NEX 5n.

Not Sony's or the camera's fault because I knew what I was giving up when I bought the camera.
