Great news! Would love to see a video with it in action for those with the 5n who have been wanting this forever. Thanks for posting.

Darn it!

No audio in port for a better mic?

Re: NEX 5N golden hotshoe adapter.

Not necessary - buy a Zoom H1 ($90) or Tascam ($100) and all is okay - best audio you can get.

Hehe, near same price like this golden, diamond hot shoe.

Re: NEX 5N hotshoe adapter.

Hoho, price similar to metabones adapter - 5x reality.

Re: NEX 5N hotshoe adapter.

Please show us a functioning hotshoe adapter for the NEX that has a "1x reality" price point?

Thanks for the heads-up

I'd buy one for $40, but $80 seems a bit too steep really

I just wish Sony would either remove or alow us to disable the absurd pre-flash in 'M' mode, then we wouldn't need such things...

The 'hobbling' of any form of remote flash on 'lower' NEX cameras has to be deliberate - a bit lame really, particularly considering the problems Sony is having getting NEX products to market and the way Samsung NX system appears to be catching up at present

yep $40 and count me in if it's able to handle the pre-flash. otherwise I'll stick to my sony flash - syk-5 - remote configuration which works flawless now only eats my batteries..

Re: NEX 5N hotshoe adapter.

That is a huge deal, it is very expensive but I don't need to buy a wireless strobe, so it is two in one and much cleaner..

I will order one for sure !

Sorry, but does it seem strange to anyone else that there is only one bad photo of this revolutionary new product and they have no other products or anything on their site?

wouldn't you think they would at least show the connector to verify that it is indeed a legit product or am I being stupid and over-cautious?

I mean for that price, I would expect at least 2 pictures. ??? Or did I miss something?

Why? I think it is perfectly legit. Send them 80 USD for pre-order, and wait if one day, it appears...

I might come with my own version for only 69.99 USD. That's the bargain. If you really want one, pre-order it now, I will add picture later.

Still cheaper than the Sony Alpha to hotshoe adapter.

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/608703-REG/Sony_FA_HS1AM_FA_HS1AM_Hot_Shoe_Adapter.html

At least with the alpha adapters, one has a choice and can buy a third party unit for under $20.

But for now, if you need an NEX to hotshoe adapter, then you pay the price.

Re: NEX 5N hotshoe adapter price higher than flash

Iiiiii do not need a hot shoe. My two Yongnuo (extern) flashes work perfekt (each smaller price than this - hohohot shoe.) with NEX5

Yes it does ! You can see that this company joined Facebook April 7. There is no phone number and no address.

There is nothing else, and no reviews or ? A little strange. Will wait for a review or two before I order.

Re: I think I found a connection, I smell a rat !

No rat smell, I emailed the person who has the site you just linked , I received a email back saying to wait about a week that the product was coming out and it would be available to preorder. And that he would message me back as soon as the site was ready.mlike he said on Sunday I got the email with the information/link to the new website with the preorder.
