Microsoft Camera Codec Pack update now supports the LX5

There was an update to the Microsoft Camera Codec Pack today that includes new support for the Lumix DMC-LX5.

The update is in the same download location as the old version (English link) -- http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=26829 Build 16.3.1483.0410

32-bit and 64-bit versions are available.

Full list of supported Panasonic cameras:

Panasonic: Lumix DMC-G1, Lumix DMC-GH1, Lumix DMC-GF1, Lumix DMC-LX3, Lumix DMC-LX5

I normally use Faststone for RW2 and FZ150, I downloaded this, but Win7 64-bit cannot open this with MS own client or other MS programs

What are you using that needed this patch installed?

Re: Microsoft Camera Codec Pack update - not XP

Aaron - thanks for the heads-up. The notice does say Vista and later but I tried it anyway with XP. No go I'm afraid. Maybe this'll tip the balance on getting around to installing the Win7 upgrade pack (x3) I bought. Stuart

I Recommend NOT Installing This

I tried it yesterday and I was unable to open jpeg files. I uninstalled the codec and my system returned to normal. Not sure what the problem is but it just doesn't work for me.
