What best CF and SD cards for the D800/800E?

Any type/version preferences for the CF and SD cards as long as read/write speeds are concerned? I know there will be an extra load to be dealed with compared to the D700. Thank you...

First, I'd recommend you take a look at the SanDisk Extreme CF Card with 90 MB/s.

Second, I'd recommend that you first get your camera and then buy the CF card

Enjoy,
Andy

I think you'd be better served having the card ready to go before the camera arrives Ditto for an L bracket and extra battery. dave

I already ordered my cards, L-bracket, and extra battery.

I bought two Lexar 32GB 600X CF cards for photos and a Sandisk Extreme Pro 64GB 95MB/S SDXC card for videos (I know nothing close to this speed is required for videos - but when it's time to download the card to the computer I don't want to have to wait four hours).

If price is no object the Lexar 1000X CF cards are the fastest thing out there.

The price of the cards might have dropped by the time his D800 has arrived.

Kirk and RRS L-brackets are still in development. You can preorder...

They might also go up as demand will rise.
Nobody can tell what's going to happen in future.

But I'll make sure I am prepared before I'll receive my camera
