Any info on lens roadmap?

Im interested a lot in v1, played with one and it was nice, but if nikon is going to copy sony's incompetence ( nex) for couple years and not release single fast prime ( preferably 35-50mm eqv ) ill pass for now...

just like sony, weird first prime pancake choice nikon.... 27mm is way too wide for general purpose lens. i like 35 ( used 24mm on dx) nice street lens, decent landscape and usable portrait lens if you use it right. Panasonic seems to be the only one that got it right m right from the beginning ( 20 1.7)

Any reliable info on future lens releases ?
Thanks

Re: Any info on lens roadmap?

This question is asked a lot, but Nikon has announced nothing official. They have shown future lens mockups and filed some lens patents, which Thom Hogan has speculated on:

"The Future Lenses?

Sept 23 (commentary)--Since Nikon's ultimate product seems to follow closely the patents they've been filing, we can make some guesses at future Nikon 1 lenses:
14mm f/2.8 (35mm equivalent)
18mm f/1.4 (50mm equivalent)
32mm f/1.2 (85mm equivalent)
40mm f/2.8 Micro-Nikkor (105mm equivalent)
60mm f/3.5 Micro-Nikkor (162mm equivalent)
7-13mm f/3.5-5.6 (20-35mm equivalent)
9-43mm f/2.8-5.6 (24-120mm equivalent)

There have been a few other patents for oddball things, and some of the patents obscured format and actual focal length, but these are the ones that seem to best match up against the unmarked lenses Nikon was showing at launch"

I really get the feeling that Nikon is "all in" with the 1 system. They do nothing but photography, and they cannot let these cameras fail due to lack of lenses, so I suspect we will see at least another lens or two well before the end of the year.

Given some thought to this and I believe you're right. A fast prime should be somewhere between 35 and 50. Most useful for general purpose.

Me, too!
My wife shoots the X100, and my favorite lens for m4/3s is the 17mm.
Come on Nikon!

14 (35mm) f2.8 is too slow

They really should go f2.0 and it should be a pancake like the pana lens to be useful.

Hi-

Not all patents "come to life." More reliable would be Nikon's announced plans:
