I use AdBlockPlus that works very well.
And also have Better Pop Up Blocker, for popups.
On the page posted I have not seen any annoying ad

Re: First WB750 full review

Seems a fair review. WB750 not great but average for this class of camera. They end by saying to buy a more exemplary camera but don't recommend any models. If Samsung don't get these in the stores soon we may as well wait for the WB800/850. Alternatively it may be worthwhile getting a WB700 if you can find one. These have the PASM controls on the top dial and cost about $50 less.

Re: First WB750 full review

wb750 has a lot of features that wb700 lacks: 10mb stills while video shoot, auto-panorama, hdr, bracketing, wheel control, full HD video, high speed video, tracking autofocus, precapture multishoot, and (a priori above all) bsi-cmos sensor. i'll pay $50 for this,if final image quality is acceptable.... Recent samples and posts apeared seems to show that it is being released finally.

Re: First WB750 full review

It's actually MUCH better than they depict...

Anyway...

Something v-e-r-y interesting for TL500 / EX1 owners though...

It appears to use a compatible battery -

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/674231-REG/Samsung_EC_TL500ZBPBUS_TL500_Digital_Point_and.html

In fact, the 500's SLB-11A 3.8V, 1130mAh should allow for quite a bit more use than the standard SLB-10A 3.7V, 850mAh...

and this -

http://www.amazon.com/Extended-Replacement-Battery-Samsung-Cleaning/dp/B004DQA57K

Basically...

The WB750 is not a "photographic tool"... it's semi-low-light toy, for fun shooting, play zooming, video editing on the fly and bunch of other stuff -

http://www.samsung.com/us/photography/digital-cameras/EC-WB750ZBPBUS-features

...a fun and very useful companion for the 500... to take as a lightweight dual camera kit (compatible batteries) to an outing, come back with some nice video footage, great zooming (that the 500 can't do), 1920x1080p Full HD H.264 video (that the 500 can't do)... and you can edit videos while sitting around with your friends, after the activity is over...

...if things get serious, pull out the 500, switch over the same formatted memory card and compatible battery... let some stubble grow on your face, throw on the 500's optical viewfinder, maybe the wide angle lens (LWCEX01, if you can find one)... and voilà! You are lè artièst!

http://www.dpreview.com/galleries/8468610496/photos/1138326/ea-ovf1

Imagine...

Starting a weekend outing as the nerdy camera guy... with your gizmo infested WB750... bowling shirt... thick framed glasses... white sneakers... everybody laughingly asking you to take pictures and videos of them with their beautiful companions... nobody taking you too seriously...

Then...

Overnight, you let your beard's stubble grow... your hair getting just barely inappropriately disheveled... you put on your wonderfully non-mainstream, yet understated... avant-garde shirt, pants and shoes (that the weird little dancer you know, helped you pick out in the high-end thrift shop)... you stealthily switch out your battery and memory card over to your uniquely quirky TL500, snap on the optical viewfinder, screw on the wide angle lens...

...the next morning...

...peering out into the horizon, looking for that shot which come close to expressing your eternal frustration, of never been being fully understood as an artist... snapping pictures, looking frustratingly into the LCD, squinting into the distance, rubbing your chin...

...the once uninterested "beautiful companions", now hungrily peering at you from behind corners, getting curiouser and curiouser about who you really are...

Trust me, it actually works.

Re: First WB750 full review

"Only the lack of RAW format support will disappoint the hardcore photographers looking for a more serious backup pocket camera.

Officially priced at £249 / $279, as usual with Samsung the WB750 is fantastic value for money considering its wealth of beginner friendly modes and effects, more sophisticated options for more experienced users, and the compelling combination of that versatile 18x zoom lens, good quality stills, excellent video and refined design. As a carry-everywhere camera that won't break the bank, the new Samsung WB750 makes almost perfect sense."

...their sample images seemed far too light and the color, is of course a matter of taste and intended use...

(additionally, the sample images are gigantic, with some elementary noise reduction and sharpening to taste, they resize down to very good / high quality, very usable files)

...though, with full manual (PASM), etc., exposure is whatever you want it to be...

...the custom white balance has an excellent x/y axis styled, 2D graph...

...a-n-d...as I tend to shoot a lot of local wannabes for free, the VERY effective Samsung Beauty Shot (Pg. 39) is great! I can click for a few minutes, right on location, run the files though some quick auto correction software in a cheap little netbook, downsize to use and have the CD/DVD (via cheap, disposable, portable burner) ready, literally within minutes to

...a-n-d...because the WB750 has IN CAMERA video editing, I can shoot a few simple clips and throw in a few videos to boot:

Being the WB750 can use a longer running battery, shoots full HD video (that can be edited right in cam), has more than enough built-in special effects, shoots highly usable photos... combining:

1.) WB750 - $300
2.) TL500 - 350
3.) Netbook - 300
4.) DVD - 30
5.) Case(s) - ?
Total - About $1,000 for a full, portable studio...
Shoot, edit, burn, present!

You're kidding, right? It combines the DVD and cases? And the TL500? So far, no one has seen comparable shots. We could get closer if it wasn't so heavy-handed on NR. Or offered NR OFF.

It could be a good camera, but these overblown statements are suspect and ridiculous. It's as if they came right out of Samsung's marketing agency, who doesn't care if they insult anyone's intelligence or not.

The WB750 got 3 stars out of 5 in a UK computer mag review. The old WB650 they loved and it got 5 stars last year.

Anyway, my current favs are older FujiFilm and Olys for portraiture, Canons and Sonys for landscapes, Casios for super fast action and Panny's for general purpose. However, here's a little something, completely untouched, straight out a Samsung TL500:

Re: First WB750 full review

5/5 seems pretty high for the 650, but it's not bad. Too heavy on NR, but nowhere near as bad as many of the cams coming out today, bsi cmos or not. Most of these cams would be winners if they had NR selection on them. Certainly the 650 would be with less of it. However, I haven't seen examples from the 700, nor from the 750, that makes it appear as if Samsung has really taken a step forward in anything but an evolution of the basic design.
