Canon A630 Anti Glare Coating

Hello,

I have a Canon A630 (among many others) in beautful condition but i have noticed the LCD's anti glare coating is wearing away even though its not been cleaned often, its just going... Is this a common occurrence with the A620/30/40/50 series ? Thanks.

Re: Canon A630 Anti Glare Coating

I still have/use an A620, and do not have this issue. But then I use an anti-glare LCD protector for all my cameras (A620, G9, G11, NX100). None of the LCDs are anti-glare enough for me.

I used to own one as well and mine did the same thing. Still a great camera tho.

They are good and built like tanks , i dont know why the coating disappears though, not that it matters as the LCD is still clear. Going to sell it soon but not sure how much a good boxed one fetches nowadays.

Re: Canon A630 Anti Glare Coating

The coating on my A650 wore away, so I replaced the LCD for $25 and about 30 minutes of work. Had been without a coating for so long, I had forgotten what it was like to shoot in bright light and be able to actually see the screen!
