Fuji ILC to have OVF

Confirmed on twitter by FujiGuys. No comment on EVF hybrid, although since it is mirrorless it looks like it will by hybrid. I wonder how they will handle the different focal lengths.

Re: Fuji ILC to have OVF

Yeah, I'm super excited about what Fuji is going to come up with. I'd love it if it would have something like a 1.3x crop factor and some amazing lenses.

I feel that more than any other manufacturer right now, they are really understanding what the enthusiast market wants both in terms of performance, features, styling, etc.

A hybrid OVF in an ILC sounds very appealing. I wonder if they are going to combine the OVF zoom in the X10 with the hybrid viewfinder in the X100? I wonder what the lens lineup is going to be. They did say this is going to be a "premium" camera so I can't imagine them making a cheap zoom lens for it. The whole "premium" thing has me worried too though.

Are they going to try and compete with the Leica M9? With full frame cameras? With the NEX-7?

I'm hoping they release a F2 35mm equivalent prime and that the camera+prime isn't much more expensive than the NEX-7+24mm Zeiss. Otherwise this ILC will be a no go for me.

January can't come soon enough.

I think we're looking at a $2k body only camera

If this camera is quick to handle and focus, I will have to seriously consider selling my Nikon kit. Weight has always been on my mind since I bought into the DSLR game plan many years ago. I think I'm ready to shed that bad habit. I was looking at the Leica M9 before the X100 was announced. Since getting my X100, my Nikon kit sits idle at home. The X100 goes with me everywhere, gives me superb image quality, a viewfinder that's actually better than any of my past DSLRs, and is a pleasure to carry. The known downside of the camera bugs me, but the pros definitely outweighs the cons. Please, Fuji, make it a revolutionary sensor and a revolutionary hybrid VF that can zoom.

Re: Fuji ILC to have OVF

Looking through more of the fuji guys tweets, they said all will be revealed at ces 2012. Previously there was speculation that only a few details would be revealed at ces 2012, so in 2 months we will know all.
