My HX9V Arrived today, here are some sample shots
My HX9V Arrived today, here are some sample shots straight out of the camera using iAuto mode.
Here are a couple of videos uploaded to youtube at 50p and 50i
replay is super smooth on HDTV and in camera, when uploaded to youtube replay on youtube becomes a little choppy.
Really pleased with it so far....
they are the original out of the camera loaded straight into flickr. To download the originals go to sizes, original size and download from there
The Flickr account shows:
"The owner has disabled downloading of their photos."
Also, I can't find the "original" size listed.
What am I doing wrong?
Sorry, was locked down, you should be able to download them now
All of the landscape or distance photos seem a bit "hazy" to me.
Was it a hazy day?
The other pictures appear good to me.
Well, except for the "talking to the hand" one.
yes the horizon was hazy. All of those were also at mid to max zoom as well.
The talk to the hand was indoors with failing light with the blur background option.
hmmm the bright light photos look good... but check out the low light pic of your hand... it's all smeared together, especially the middle finger. Did you use background defocus on that shot or something? Maybe you can take a few more low light pics? thx
posted a couple of night shots from a tripod on manual at iso 100
I find the sharpness of the photos to be disappointing. If you zoom in to 200% and look at the edges of buildings, things don't look right. I think this reduces opportunities for cropping.
I want to thank you for taking your time and post some pictures. I own the hx5v and have been looking forward to getting this camera.
To the comment about the night pictures. I also think they look kinda disappointing but I noticed that these were zoomed out pictures? Can you take some at the wide end @24mm so we can see it at its highest aperture?
Thank you! Looking forward to seeing more pictures.
Here is a set of photos with the HX9V of the same low light indoor scene, shot in manual mode with the same shutter speed and aperture, each increasing a step in iso on a tripod
nice pictures there the details are excellent
Nice pictures. What I like about the HX9V compared to the hx5v in indoor photos... they arent as warm which is a huge plus. Some of the indoor pictures ive taken with the hx5v are horrible; especially anything with a yellow or orange color.
the pre-production models where hitting the internet, now we have a production model and as i said before its still the same... no difference between the two.
the pictures are flat and dull and i think its a Sony processing problem.
the watercolour painting look has been a visible problem for some time, as most of us know.
also i think its part of the backlit sensor character or a combination of it with Sony's processing engine.
once again i will pass.
All my Post Processing is done with Capture NX2
