The bride was beautiful!

I have never shot a wedding and probably, will never; although I have been asked a few times by friends!

But I couldn’t resist this beautiful bride who graciously accepted to pose for me.

Re: The bride was beautiful!

Louis, your photos have an idea, capture emotions.

I apologize for the following invective, but next time try to do a "small step backwards for Louis, but a big step for fans to your photos".

Re: The bride was beautiful!

The photo reminds me of a famous Eichendorff poem (and then a "Lied" by Schumann), called "Mondnacht" (Moonlit Night) with its first stanza:

It was like Heaven's glimmer

had touched the Earth's skin

that in Her blossoms' shimmer

She had to think of Him.

Heaven is, of course, male, and Earth is Heaven's bride; the kiss by the groom is, as it were, the abiogenesis of all being. The photo presents the bride as if she were aware of that relation of her individual marriage to that cosmic myth about the origin in love. Exquisite.

Splendid shot,

may I ask if she is a Japanese. I ask just because I was back from Japan a couple of days ago.

Cheers,

Choi

Just lovely, Louis. I very much enjoy shooting friends/relatives weddings, as long as I'm not substituting for the 'real' photographer. You ought to do more of it; anyone would be lucky to have you.......:-)

Thank you very much, Mike!.... But I don't think so; I have never been interested in shooting "weddings" and would not feel comfortable. I just saw this beautiful bride coming out of a cathedral and asked if I could take a shot!... She was very gracious!

Very Best,

I think she was, Choi. I only saw her for a couple of minutes in the cathedral gardens. It was very unexpected and she was very kind to accept posing for me for 2 shots!

Thank you very much, Rich!

I don't think I would be comfortable shooting weddings! I usually prefer to be alone with my "subjects" and create a "contact"!.... Well, if a bride accepts to be alone with me for couples of hours; that would be another story!...

This was just an unexpected photo op!
