Captain America

They are filming Captain America in Manchester UK at the moment. They have closed off a street and made it look like 1940's New York. Here are some shots with that dodgy E3 camera and lousy 50-200 lens, which I wouldn't change for anything

oh and one with the useless EP1

Very cool!

I love the B&W treatment of the last one -- they would all look pretty authentic in B&W! Nice shots.

God Bless,

Re: Captain America

kinda weird they would shoot a NYC cityscape in Manchester of all places

I think that sepia looks like an image of long ago

great job with Olympus' best HG lens, in my opinion.

I am disappointed they could not find a suitable location in the United States, not even in an old-style town like Savannah.... oh well.

Re: Captain America

Some great looking shots. I hope you will forgive me posting a photo of the actual Captain America, seen with Cat Woman at our 4th of July parade...

50-200mm - Bokeh issues (lines)

... I have not invested into this lens as I have read previous posts that this lens got issues with lines bokeh (as if like seeing things double). Starting from your 1st image posted here and the rest, I can see that issue very clearly. What could be the reasons to this problem? is it due to the direction of the lights? But I have also seen a lot of other samples from this lens, with smoother defocus.....

BTW, Very nice sets of photos and like them all.

Thanks.

Re: 50-200mm - Bokeh issues (lines)

The Bokeh is not as smooth as the f2 lenses are, but to me not bad. If you get close enough and your background is far enough things smooth out. If you want it to get really busy use the EC14 with it.

The real C.A. does not wear brown boots, I think he is a fake.
