70-200 2.8 IS USM Mark II (2) - Handheld vs. Tripod 100% samples

these are JPEGs from Canon 7D with 70-200 2.8 Mark 2 lens
all images were saved in size 8 JPEGs under Photoshop to keep within 3mb
no sharpening applied in Photoshop

i was 5 feet away

(i felt my left hand shaking at the 200mm trying to put the focus central point on the small text on the light swtich...., i anm a rightee)

200mm handheld looks pretty sharp to me. It might be fun to see what happens at slower shutter speeds. How low can you go at 200mm handheld? Thanks for sharing and congratulations on the new lens!!!

one at 1/30 was not as sharp, but you can still read the text!

i may need practice
will be posting 3D objects soon....
