***Challenge #96 - VINTAGE ***

Thanks Kathryne for the honor. Previous challenge: http://forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1034&message=34534993

This next challenge is called "Vintage". I am looking for high quality, technically good photos depicting old vintage looking photos (objects, people or old-look processing). Vintage color (ie, 1950s or 1960s look) or vintage Black & White images are welcome.

Examples (I don't have any '50 to '60s vintage color images):

Please treat this challenge as a contest and submit your BEST work. I have a discerning eye and I don't miss many details. Optional.....share EXIF (camera, settings...etc) information in your entry so others can see how it was exposed.

The challenge will end on Wednesday, February 24, 2010. (11:59 PM EST)

Don't forget - Please reply to the FIRST (ORIGINAL) post if you are submitting an entry and RENAME THE SUBJECT TO INDICATE THE TITLE OF YOUR ENTRY.

R U L E S:

The host gives you a topic of interest and you get going. You post ONE image (if you post more than one image, the first will be your entry in the challenge). The host chooses a winner after closing. The decision of the judge (the Host) is final. The judge is not eligible. The winner then chooses the next topic, runs the challenge, judges the winner and passes on the baton to that person. If the winner fails to post a new challenge within 72 hours of being declared the winner then the runner-up should post the new challenge within a further 24 hours.

Feel free to comment on other contestant's images. If you want someone to leave you a piece of constructive criticism, put a (CC) next to the title of your image [e.g. Sunset with Canada Geese (CC)].

Please embed your image in the thread. Try to resize your photos prior to posting so they're sized appropriately for viewing without having to scroll (800 pixels on the longest side works best.)

Thanks to all and good luck!!

Rather than a link, embed the image here, otherwise I can't use it.

~ Break in the Clouds ~

.. Hey everyone' .. I took this shot about 3 years ago at the Arlington fly-in, fairly new to dslr & the big bad Manual mode at the time ; hence the 1/2000th stopped propeller' lol. Not the crispest shot at the long end of the 18-200vr, but am hoping to mask the flaws with a "Vintage Tweak" .. I processed in the free Faststone
viewer, .. desaturate - tweak colors & mild sepia.
.. F5.6 @ 200mm, ... "oh & spot metering" .. yah yah'
Heck' I was still affraid to shoot RAW. *
