I dont mind the comments. But I do know of Scott, and Ray, and Brad Buttrey etc etc. I do not have their talent or style, but this is a smudge that I just did! It is lots of fun!

Yes this is definitely a different look than the smudges we are used to seeing, but if you say this was achieved with the smudge tool, I won't argue with you.
I do actually like the overall look though. Nice vibrant colors.

One thing though, is that the hair looks a little over sharpened, and course for my taste.
Overall though, nice work.

Yes, it is a smudge. A little overboard on the texture, and a little heavy on the brush strokes, but I like that effect. Actually this was an extremely small file to work with. I borrowed it from a news website, then realized it was a getty image. I have since asked for permission to use this picture. Otherwise I may have to break this link.
I am having fun learning the different techniques.
