What it looks like through the DMW-LVF1

Not the greatest photo, but here's a shot taken with the LX3 through the LVF of the GF1...

I wouldn't use this pic to judge how much sharpness you can resolve (because the camera is mildly out of focus), but I think it's a reasonable representation of the resolution of the screen.

How often do you use the EVF?

Only had it a few days, so too early to tell

It's definitely desirable outside, and when I have the 14-45 on, I seem to have a natural inclination to bring the camera up to my eye, so I tend it use it that way. It's not the best EVF out there, but when you need it, it's definitely usable. My #1 wish would be higher resolution on the display. #2 wish would be either a larger display, or an eyecup.

With the EVF attached, is the LCD display automatically turned off?
Is the image through the EVF 100% coverage or cropped?

No, there's a button on the EVF to toggle between display and EVF.

Is the image through the EVF 100% coverage or cropped?

100% coverage.
