From D50 to D300s

I just uploaded 15 photos (21 September 2009) to my Flickr account that I shot with my D300s + 18-200VR II: http://www.flickr.com/photos/front_curtain

The one with the hanging bicycle was shot at ISO 6400 with High ISO NR set to low.

Some of the shots I took with my D300s this weekend would have been very difficult to shoot with my D50, mainly because of the high ISO values used on the D300s.

Using flash would not only have killed the natural light available, but would also have been much too intrusive.

Looks grainy at that reduced size

Is like that the camera output or is from downsizing?

Yes, it's grainy out of the camera - which is not unusual for high ISO photos.
