Cool shots.....even though I'm from the N side of the globe. Her smile in the first shot looks little phony to me.

The jaundiced view!!

Why would it be great having her?? From the political point of view?

She knows as much about world politics as a salmon.

She is famous for being beautiful, and indeed she is that.

And the shots are good.

Where's the market going now dude?

lets see. the Fed brought in 32% less in taxes from a yr ago. yet they are spending more money then being brought in. gee, tell me is that the way you handle your money. now both Houses are talking about spend AGAIN another trillion dollars.

we are in for a long down turn. when BO got in his money group together they said we we would be out by 3rd qtr 09. now they are saying 2nd qtr 2010.

me, i say when you see copper turn upwards. then we will have a better understanding of the upward movement. copper is key to home building and manufacturing.

true the object of spending is to create jobs and get a return from the workers to taxes in the future. but where are all the jobs? no jobs, no revenue for the FED.

remember that big sucking sound going to Mexico. then Billy boy put in place that sucking sound called NAFTA. which created 19 million jobs. he passed a Rep. bill and took the credit for it. ah, both houses were in control of the Rep. party.

lets look at what lame duck president is. it's where the 2 houses are controlled by the other party and the other party can't get anything done. so who was in charge when they let sub prime get out of hand? Dems!

who was the CEO of AIG, and made 100 million in 2 yrs? then AIG goes belly up. where is he now? oh, he's on BO's Financial Board. nice uh?

smart money reacts to the govn't spending - Because it is 1/3rd of all money spent in this country. the other 2/3rds is consumer spending. - so just how much can they spend when their taxes are raised, gas goes up and food goes up? answer they don't spend more then they bring home. recession sets in.

as for the path we are on. smart money reacts to who's spending and how much.

here's my advise. understand both parties like sports. know the competition and the players. there are good guys on both sides. then there are players that real stink on both sides. when you understand who has the ball you can guess at the game plan and make your bets.

Carl that is not economics. spending all that money spent right is a good thing.

its inflation that causes the slow down for a recession to set in. spending money creates jobs in hope of taking that family of aid and that worker adding to Fed and State coffers. which is then spent on things to help more GROWTH.

You really don't konw economics do you. No matter how much money is

tank (that's when you're going to lose your monthly check too )
before the new money was injected into the economy. You know anyone
who lost their jobs because people were too scared to spend? I know
quite a few including someone in my family.

Re: 5D Mark II with Sarah Palin

Give you some more idea: Let's say the government prints a lot of money, say a million for each citizens and actually gives the money to everyone. On the other hand people are too worried to spend they are just put the money in the banks or put under the mattresses. The money will do nothing to the economy and not even cause inflation. Thats' pretty much what was happening when the economy was on the way to a melt down. The stimulus plan was not just to print more money but to give people confidence that we will not run out money and willing to put our money back into the economy. I think it worked and worked very nicely,

Thats not exatly true, say the government does give everyone 1 million dollars, regardless if its spent and/or saved it increases inflation regardless. This is because the government does not have that kind of money laying around. Of course we all know the government does not need money in the bank to give to the people, they will just print the money. Once they print more money it de-values all US money and inflation increases regardless.

How long will it work nicely as you say? At some point don't you think that money we borrowed has to be repayed? Also just wait until Obama increases taxes on the "rich". Yep, those big bad "rich" people will have to pay alot more money, or will they? The answer is no... yes their tax bill will massively increase under Obama but do you really believe that money is directly going to be paid by the "rich"? The answer is no?, the rich owns business, and employ the "non-rich" they will be the ones paying the "riches" tax bills. They will pay for in by, not recieving pay raises, lossing there jobs when the "rich" guys want to cut costs, and they will be pay the taxes by increase cost of buying the produces the "rich" make.

Re: 5D Mark II with Sarah Palin

It's not how much money is printed but how much money is put into use that balances the supply and demand equation. Like I said when people are not spending and banks are not loaning all the money there are just dead money. It will not cause demand to exceed supply and will not cause inflation or devaluation of dollars. Where is the inflation now? There is none. The fact speaks for itself. It will happen only when people start to spend like crazy with money they have or don't have and the supply can not catch up. Too bad some people are so ignorant of the basic economics.

As to whether it worked, my company is back in hiring mode now and my 401K has recovered more than half of its lost value. It worked for me.

How will all that spending help your children? Do you feel comfortable that the government is borrowing your childrens money?

Re: Totally wrong.

There in no borrowing my children'smoney. Spending more than what economy can produce is bad but that's not the case at this moment. It's just the opposite. The money is needed to move the economy again and everyone, my children included, will benefit. There is good spending and bad spending. Good spending is what will will results in increased productivity and bad spending is not. The current policy has just saved the economy. My children's future will only be affected if the economy is going a downhill slide.

You guys are listening too much of those one liners from the talk show people who all have a hidden agenda. They make loads of money from the shows and really don't care if the administration fails or economy tanks long as the result is electing someone such as the one with pictures show in the op that can appoint some anti-abortion anti-gay supreme court judges. Keep on dreaming!

BHO didn't even know that much - and his on-the-job training isn't going well.

She is famous for being beautiful, and indeed she is that.

She is famous for having an 80% approval rating as Governor - the fact that she looks good, is an added plus.

The news media didn't anoint her governor, she won it on her own.
Oh, and she didn't even try to have her opponents forced off the ballot.

Yes, she is the darling of conservatives, ultra or other wise. BHO is the darling of liberals. Does that surprise anyone?
