Bokeh Junky Thread...

Bokeh Junkies thread where we can oogle interesting pix featuring our favorite Bokeh phenomena...

Here's one I shot of a female body builder friend that folks at the gym really like.
She's about 10 feet in front of a tree line.
And no, she isn't naked...

D300, 300mm f/2.8 AI-S: f/2.8, 1/640s.

Re: roids?

No. I've no doubt that she's probably tried androgens in the past. It's really all about genetics and food, not roids. The time and expense involved in cooking/eating is hard to comprehend... She's competing in the Arnold Classic this weekend.

Nice pic, btw.

Re: Bokeh Junky Thread...

I'm sorry, even if was the most beautiful Bokeh in the world I can not get past the main subject Her skin pores are just huge!

Optically the 300mm F/2.8 Ai-S is an incredible lens, the IQ is superb, and that's from a web sized .jpg a full size print must be stunning.

What's too funny is "modesto" addressing "fresno". Living in either town would be like serving time in a super-max prison.

Hi Boris - really like that shot, great use of DOF. Mind sharing lens & aperature info?

Bokeh from an UWA

I didn't expect a 12-24mm lens to produce nice bokeh, but here it is:

(Tokina 12-24mm at 24mm, f/4, 1/1000s - didn't have something more "scenic" to post at this time of the year, sorry )

Boris, some pictures of "Prison"

What's too funny is "modesto" addressing "fresno". Living in either town would be like serving time in a super-max prison.

Well, I guess I like prison!

Fresno city population is larger than that of Oakland , Long Beach and Sacramento.
Also larger than Miami, Tampa, Minneapolis, Cleveland and Pittsburgh.

Yet, There are virtually no traffic jams.
My commute to work is 7 minutes--during rush hour.

I live within an hour of three National Parks.

This is 50 miles from my house:

I can water ski 7 months of the year, here; it's an eight minute drive from where I work, so I can ski 5 or 6 times a week easily if I want:

I'm 15 minutes from the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains (did you notice the mountains in the background of the evening lake shot?):

I'm a 35 mile drive up to 5000 feet in the Sierra Nevada's Shaver Lake:

And just another 18 miles up the road to Sierra Summit Ski Area at 7000 feet. Here's a ski buddy of mine:

Here I am on the mountain (90 minutes later I was back at work):

And some more ski area scenery:

These pictures were all taken within 10 minutes of my house:

My backyard:

Nothing to do in the city?

I've seen all of these during the last few years at the Savemart Center, a modern, $100 million multi-use facility

Oh, and if I need to get away, I'm only a few hours from the Pacific, San Francisco and L.A.:

So, all in all, if Fresno is prison, I guess I'm a "lifer"!

RB.

I've spent a fair amount of time in fresno, so your pictures can't fool me.

I've also spent many years water skiing shaver lake, attending gold arrow summer camp, racing the sunfish regatta at huntington lake and snow skiing at china peak/sierra summit. And I know the difference between Yosemite and fresno.

Where's the pictures of beautiful downtown during a typical 110 degree summer day? What about that bastion of culture known as the tower district? I'm sure it's nice a foggy there right now. How about some cold, damp pictures of those nice motels around the 99?

Actually, I'd rather live in Bakersfield if I were forced to live in the central valley.

mozarkid .. see this .

I have to dis-agree dude .
Todays BB is about what you use , not genetics .

It's not like the old days , where asthetics rule , it's size , and it's a travesty to bodybuilding . The past bodybuilders were in my book , better in every way.

Just look here , and see 1 of the supposed greates bodybuilders looks like , after roids/competing .
