OK, forgive the stupid question, but I've read that there are issues using a filter on top of a wide-angle converter lens on the LX3. (This is for an LX3, but I'm sure it applies elsewhere as well).
Is it possible to put a filter on the end of the 46mm adapter tube and then mount the W/A lens on the end of that? Not having seen any of these accessory pieces first-hand I can only speculate, perhaps it's something that would be obvious in person).
The advantage of course would be that I'd only need a 46mm filter instead of one that fits the wider end of the W/A lens, and the filter could stay mounted to the camera as the lens was put on and taken off.
I can easily imagine there'd be unforeseen clearance issues, or maybe the extra few mms of filter depth would throw off the focal distances or something, but does anyone know for sure?
Thanks!
