Anyone tried the DMW-LW46 wide angle for LX3?

How's the distortion? Sharpness? And can this be used only in the 24mm native - or does zoom work?

Thanks,
MTMT

A friend of mine has one and said that the distortion wasn't too much of a bother for him and he is quite happy with it.

Here are some shots he took with it.

Those are quite nice!

I expect, at some point, there will be a profile for this combination in PTLens, assuming some user does a set of images for the author to use.

I have one

I have one and use it on my camera probably 80% of the time due to the shots I need to do. EXCELLENT for the $. Highly recommended. No more distortion than some of the best consumer lens such as the $700 Canon 10-22 which works out to 16-35mm. It's about as wide too as that Canon lens.

I will note this: On one LX3, the resolution was really poor - very soft. On another one that I own, it's quite sharp corner to corner. Really an excellent lens.

ps: Oh, you can zoom it too but it's not as sharp when zoomed - clearly softens up so it's probably best at the widest angle.
