5D mkII "revealed"

He did all that to conclude that it's the 5D2? Most of us took one glance and knew it's the 5D2.

I am not interested in this camera at all. It apparently has no pop-up flash. ;-)
(I really do like a pop-up flash on the semi-pro cameras.
I know, it's so declasse')

That is one crazy set of equipment. I personally wouldn't know what to do with it. I'm really the kind of guy, who can do everything with a single cam and a couple of lenses. Just keepin' it simple.

He just took it one step further. Sure we all "knew" it's the new 5D, but getting a better look at it, sure is nice.

Check this gamma adjusted "5D mkII" image from Canon USA's site
http://pma-rumours.blogspot.com/2008/09/5d-mkii-revealed.html .

It looks like someone managed to "reveal" it and compared it to the
actual 5D. The size looks similar, but the buttons are placed
diffrently. OK, everyone really expected it to be 5D mkII, but now we
can be even more be sure of it.
Well, you can't quite. All we know is there is a new camera coming. How Canon is positioning it with respect to the 5D is still a guess. I guess it won't be called the '5D MkII'. Why? The styling is quite different. In the EOS-1's, thoughout the long line of 5 generations, Canon has kept the styling very similar. If this was the 5D Mk II, the style would have echoed the 5D much more closely. To me, that angular prism echoes the EOS-3.
