clock battery flashing at small LCD - why ?

Can someone tell me why small clock battery flashing at small LCD ?
My D3 is brand new less than a month.

The battery may be faulty or the contacts need a clean ?

Just go into the set up menu and set the time.

Even though you may find that the time displayed is correct, part of the set up requires the user to go to the set up menu and set the time in order to make the little clock blinky go away. This was shock to several of use when we first picked up our D3's in December (posted on this long ago).

You need to set the time in the menu see page 40 in the manual, see page 408 in the manual for the error message.

my time is correct, so only change timezone, so to touch it..
