'Light pipe' ....for liquid light of course (macro)

messing around with the new lens, Sigma 150mm macro and I needed some lighting but the on camera flash looked pretty bad. Here is what I came up with for now:

One has to be careful though. Looking at this picture in your gallery the reflection of the pipe itself is not desirable. But I like the lighting it provides.

Maybe you want to color the pipe black or wrap it in black electric tape so the light doesn't leak throughout the pipe.

was thinking on those lines but on non-reflective items I think the whole 'lightstick' does pretty good. Ideally I could find some chrome pipe that is chromed inside too.

I could get carried away with this; next idea is to put in a combo wye and another drain pipe off in a 45 degree direction to light up both sides of the subject, one side not as strong (fill light).
