K20D and IR

Just done some quick and dirty testing and the K20D is as insensitive to IR as the K10D was. So Live View wont be the big help that it was going to be.

Re: K20D and IR

That is what I figured. Since reduced IR interference means better color I would have been surprised if the K20D has been any better.

So I bought an IR only Fuji A900 point and shoot. For $399 it will do what I need.

Since Pentax seems to pride itself on the smaller niche market. I would like to see them develop a way for their dSLR to move the IR blocking filter out of the way. I special mode. I am hoping that as IR photography increases (this is all thanks to digital) that maybe this type of innovation will happen.

Re: K20D and IR

Is the IR false color output same as the K10D as well? Can you post a sample please?

That's one thing I like about the K10D - the unique colors of a properly whitebalanced IR with a Hoya R72.

Thanks.

So it's the same (or slightly more or less)? Long exposures for an even more alienating effect... Well at least that still works.

Tx for checking!!
