Today the PMA show in Vegas started.

And does anyone know if Apple has a scheduled presentation? And if so when is it?

I'm curious as well. They must be showing something in their booth.

The booth number reserved for Apple (X128) simply says HOLD. It doesn't even identify the company by name anymore. Perhaps they will be a no show.

An aperture

From the Apple dictionary:

aperture: an opening, hole, or gap

In other words: aperture = empty place in the air

Steve Jobs doesn't care about Mac People

I didn't say that ... just quoting the great Kanye West. ;--)

Is that from one of his songs ... in the iTunes Store?

He does, but not in the way you might think if you look at this:

"Your post, " PMA 2008, what is Apple showing there ? " was removed from the Apple forums as it does not follow the guidelines specified in our terms of use. Clarification

For anyone not familiar with the incident ... Rapper Kanye West appeared on some TV ad for Katrina Relief or something and then said something that became a big controversy. He suddenly blurted "George Bush doesn't care about black people". And he was criticized for this. I just twisted it a little, folks. Just for a bit of fun - no offence to rappers, politicians, Apple ... nobody. ;--)

Anyway, OS X 10.5.2 has been seeded to developers again today, with more than 130 fixes, and this apparently has no known issues. Hopefully, it'll be released in 1 week and might contain all that you guys all need in Aperture. PMA or not - since the RAW conversion part is the responsibility of the OS team, they will of course give top priority to OSX stuff, rather than RAW stuff.

But, in 1 week, when the new update's out, everyone'll be happy and we'll all go back to the good old "LR or Aperture", "Canon or Nikon or Sony", "Sigma or Tamron" arguments.

Still curious about

just what they are promoting at PMA. Perhaps it is simply the current line of products so they have a presence in the Photo industry.
