Very interesting shot

Interesting photo Bob. How old do you think the cabin is?

I really like these favorite of the year threads- they elicit some great pictures.

Prowling the streets of HK (6 pics s5)

What a wonderful thread Joe!!!

Time really flies. I must have been away for months... Pleased that the s5 is still a great fun and superb machine; here are a few of my recent favourite street snapshots:

"Skyline & birds"

"Roots & leaves"

"Give way... "

"Sunset"

"Taking a night shot"

"An onlooker... expecting the unexpected?"

Happy 2008!:-)

Re: Post your Favorite Fuji DSLR photos for 2007 (5 images)

I have only owned this camera (S5 - my first digital) for a couple of months and I'm in love with it! Have learned alot from this forum and continue to do so, here's a few of mine:

In camera B&W:

A view of mainland South Australia from Kangaroo Island (with ND grad):

A wet windscreen in traffic!

A cheeky little monkey (admittedly a captive one)

...and finally an "action" shot with pop-up flash:

Thanks for looking and thanks to the OP for the opportunity, love your work all of you!

Insomnia

Looking out the window after another sleepless night..... A handheld grabshot at shutter speed of 2 sec with VR on....

I've been suffering from insomnia for more than a year. This photo best represents my painful year of 2007. I mean, I just can't sleep, or I just can't sleep well at night. It's insane....

Cheers

Re: Insomnia

First let me say that we have some wonderful photographers here. The images posted are gorgeous. It is an honor to be associated with all of you.

Second, to bkj: you post is really distressing. You need to be seen by a Sleep Medicine physician(I am one) up there in Canada. They may be able to help you.

Dave, some really great photos here, but the second, of the bird and its reflection, is just phenomenal.

Woops! I hope that wasn’t too many.

Don’t worry, Henry. You haven’t killed the thread

Re: Second photo especially good (For Joe)

Joe,

Thanks for the nice comments. The one of the bird with the reflection in the water was taken in Florida this year. I believe it's a Snowy Egret. It was taken at the Ding Darling Wildlife area on Sanibel Island which is south west of Ft. Myers Florida.

I was taking a few shots of this bird when I hear this motorized clicking and looked around and saw this woman machine gunning this bird with a Canon. All of a sudden the bird dropped his wing I took the shot and then he raised the wing back up. The lady didn't get the shot. So much for Fuji S3's being slow LOL

There are a lot of very nice photos here on this thread.
