E3 Shadow Adjustment Technology - HDR?

Anyone have any details re. the E3's "shadow adjustment technology"? Can't imagine it has much to do with the the much hyped HDR technology that Olympus has patented as little as it seems to be highlighted in the press release.

As I understand it

it is highlight and shadow recovery in the conversion engine for people frightened by computers.

Perfectly sensible, and probably not relevant to anyone here.

Should be very similar to Nikon's D-lighting & Sony's DRO technology, mostly no relation to the patent acquired.

Right, pretty disappointing to see no HDR implementation in the E3. Makes me wonder why it took Olympus so long to get th E3 out.

I agree with that. Not to take anything away from it, but there's nothing revolutionary with the E-3, and a few things are a step backwards from the E-1.
