Re: A620 1.00f firmware needed

I am experimenting with HDR, but the only way I can do exposure bracketing is with a laptop and PSRemote. It would be really useful to be able to do this on the camera

The HDK will do this, but my A620 only has 1.00E firmware. I know I need version 1.00F but I cannot find it to download anywhere (the rapidshare link mentioned in this forum no longer works).

Could somebody kindly e-mail me the 1.00F firmware upgrade, so that I can leave the laptop at home?

Thank you

The idea is good (maybe GrAnd can leave the the histogram
continuous, even in tandem with Zebra), but you eliminated some
modes like the blend mode of the histogram. Or you used an older
hack?

Er, not on my A640! And everything's built from the same code base, so .... ? The blend mode is definitely there too (it's the only one I use!) Hmmm ... strange.

I suppose you don't have a card reader. In Windows Explorer you'll find your device (wheb connected with the USB cable). Just select all the files who appears in your device and delete them.

Thanks ursamajorRO for your reply.

Perhaps i did not make my question clear enough. What i meant is to delete the files directly from my camera without using computer for situation when i am travelling with no computer access.

Simple !
go to menu "miscalaneous stuff" in grant's HDK

then file browser, then go inside DCIM 100 CANON, you'll see the files (their names) press the alt button (the one you use to delete the files) and click OK

Thanks Alain for the info

btw, is there a way to delete the entire folder containing the raw files at one go? From the file browser interface, i can only delete one file at a time. It will be great to be able to delete the entire folder.

Canon S2 IS

Hi everyone!

Does anyone knows if the pach works on a Canon S2 IS? I think S2 has DigicII too...
Where I may find the pach?

Thanks!

Has anyone tried RAW in their A710? I'm wondering what the file
size should be. I tried it and got a 9 MB file but neither Paint
Shop Pro nor PS Elements would open it.

I figured it out. I had to convert to DNG first. Duh.

This is pretty cool. Congrats to the authors.

Please can you tell me how you convert the file to DNG. I can't figure it out. Thanks.

for GrAnd : delete directory ???

I don't think the delete directory is implemented. Maybe it exists a shortcut to do this, but I don't know it ...

If GrAnd reads this, maybe he will help us. It could be nice to implement the delete directory using the same buttons that are used for the file delete ...

Thanks in advance to GrAnd

You have to download DNGForPowershot at this site:

It's in the second to last question in the FAQ

Oh well..

i am just amazed that the answers to 80% of the questions asked here can be found if people actually read not all but the first post of this thread.

why do we need FAQ anymore?

sorry dont mean to be offensive. just find this thread getting boring with posts that contribute nothing.

the positive side is there are always people who are willing to help.

cheers.

Re: Oh well..

Thanks GaryP for your response. I see your point. I hope you understand that the purpose of a forum like this is to share experience, give and get help. I know my request may have upset you but I did try to find the answer before I sent the post. Frankly reading this long thread made me excited but at the same time gave me a headache and I found myself lost in a foreign world. Bear in mind many of us don't know much about the stuff talked in here. I might be not careful enough and missed the points that I should have noticed, I am not a search engine; or if you like I may be stupid and I did not understand it. But again, you are absolutely right, there are always people who are willing to help.
