Indy Racing with OM manual focusing
This was not easy..lol But was able to get a few using both the OM200mm f4 and the 135 f3.5 . Both were on a E300. Here is a sample..
the others are here if you care to look..
Nice capture - hard to do when the car is coming straight at you with manual focus!
But the big question is - why's this guy driving with rain tires on a dry track? Must not be paying for his own rubber ....
thanks...he is Sam Hornish and this was the first practice run of the week so they do a few laps with the rain tires then switch to slicks...nice catch there. I was wondering if anybody would comment on the tires!
I run SCCA and buy my own tires ... so an item of interest to me. However, you caught the detail in the first place .. nice work with the old OM lens. I use a 200mm F5 on an E300 at the races and recognize it's hard work.
thanks and I figured you were a gearhead!..would love to see your shots sometime....
thanks Gary and yes that is the secret...that and picking up a car comng through your preset focus area that is going anywhere from 90-170 mph and not in a straight line.
btw loved your blues shots!!!..have seen Robert Cray a few times and he is a gem.
great work. i keep shooting with the old zuikos on my e-1 as well, and they´ll do their job for another 30 years
the difference between theory and practice is higher in practice than in theory
I'm still learning how to shoot motorsports with autofocus, forget about manual focus through my E-500.
Very nice shot.
I'm saving my change right now to add the 50-200mm lens to my collection. I currently use the 40-150mm lens with the EC-14.
