Thanks for sharing. I really like the portrait taken with the 85mm lens. Wow!

thanks a lot.

All pics EXIF show NX 1.01 post processing. I'm not sure how much NX pp took part with these pics. But all of them look impressive.

Forget the camera, the people behind it that's matter.

Re: New official D80 samples!

Thx for the link. Nice to see some D80-samples taken with better lensen than the 18-135mm.

Sharpness seems good, but there is visible noise which means the D80 is a total dud and pretty much unusable

So it seems...

From the samples I've seen - and I believe I've seen them all, unofficial and official - I conclude that there is still some tendency to certain blooming (or banding). But at the same time I must say it's so mild and unnoticeable that my interest towards the issue is purely scientific. Does not affect my photography

Nice pictures, but....

I am a bit disappointed that there were not any pictures taken with
the 18-135mm kit lens that most D80s will probably be sold with.

You're right, Mark! Well at least this controls for possible reflections. Still, I like this photo a lot.

Re: Nice pictures, but....

I am actually glad to see some samples with nice glass since the vast majority of published D80 photos so far have been with the 18-135, which seems to be very mediocre.

Seems like most of the lenses they used cost as much as the body!

My Vote goes to D80.

there's something that I do not like on Canon images, I dont know but IMHO the skintones are not so good (models look quite pale).....Nikon do a better job in this respect.

Arturo, to be fair ...

... you'd need to download the full Canon image - it looks much better, they must have screwed up the colourspace when putting up the thumbnail (eg probably left it in Adobe RGB or something)
