Kicking myself for the second time in a week!!! (E1 vent)

I didn't read through everyone elses answers but I am guessing the ISO 400 should be fine as long as you didn't underexpose much.

As far as settings go I use the Custom Settings and have a default one that I reset the camera to every time I pick it up on a new day... once you get in the habit it's not too hard to remember.
