How do you spell Camera

Took a short drive to Salisbury, NC this afternoon and stopped at the Salisbury Emporium where they had a small display of old cameras. I didn't notice the spelling until I got home and viewed the shots on my monitor.

Good Stuff Joe

Guess they needed to buy a vowel, and Vanna wasn't selling.

JPEG and RAW analogy

Not surprised you didn't notce the spellng until you saw the pictre on your monitor afterwads - our brain compenstes for missing bits of infrmation and if just one or two leters are missing, we hardly ever notice. Bit like the diference betwen a high qualty JPEG and a develped RAW when smply viewed on the monitor.

Now - look at above paragraph again. How many words with missing lettrs ?

Nice captures. I love looking at old cameras, especially the folding cameras with bellows.

That one shows signs of having repairs to the bellows, where light was leaking in. Of course, there is only one reason to make such a repair, and that is to allow the camera to actually be used, and it is fun to get out a roll of 120 film now and then and try it out.
Thanks for sharing,
Peter

Oh wow, haven't seen one of those since, well, a long time ago. Brought back some nice memories of childhood!
Thanks,
Susan

Well, we don't really need the "e" but a "a" sure would help!

Neat shots of the old camers, Joe! The Hawkeye seems a little worn but good that they kept the box.

Best regards,

Dick:)

I don't know if it was recent graduate. It looks like it has been there for awhile.

Ha! At least I can try to say it was a typo and that I got it correct 2 out of three times. Amazing what our brain allows us to overlook.

Yes, I remember seeing some of those when I was younger. I never used any however. I've only recently develoed a little interest.

Thanks Dick. It is always amusing to walk through these antiques and look at stuff we through away years ago.
