Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 now in stock

Just an FYI, both Adorama and B&H show the new Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 in stock for $450. Looking forward to some impressions and samples.

at WPPI the tokina rep stated that their new lenses wouldn't be available until the end of summer or fall. presumably that means the 16-50, 50-135, and whichever others there were.

drools over the potential of the 50-135

but of course, we know reps. so who knows when they'll actually turn up. lol

Sweeet!!!

I like to see the pictures as well. I could be a good alternative to the extremely expensive and I can't afford right now 17-55 ahahah..since i blew it on the 12-24...

Finally, someone makes something in the range of the nikon 24-120....

I like my 24-120 as it start right at the end of the 12-24 lens. I hate to get a nice 24-75 and having to get a 70-200...

I would rather get this baby 50-135 being a nice walk about lens...and go straight into 120-300 in the future...

Anyhow...

Tokina 50-135mm F2.8 DX, another unique zoom range. It corresponds to 80-216mm in terms of 35mm equivalent angular coverage on a Canon APS-C DSLR, which I guess makes it somewhat similar to the 70-200/2.8 and 80-200/2.8 full frame lenses in terms of photographic applications From the image it looks like it has a built-in rotating tripod collar.
