Cleaning the CCD with Toilet paper

Its was like this before ...

I started with some toilet paper wraped round an icecream stick, wet with a drop of water
OH MY GOD!

After some vigourous rubbing with a dry toilet paper round the stick

PHEW!
I am making it worse, so left at this

In India we get our sensors cleaned for Rs.500 - that is USD 10 approx

Re: Cleaning the CCD with Toilet paper

I take it you dont recommend this method.

Thanks for confirming the filter is tough.

Did you remove all that fine paper dust from inside the camera.

Did you use American toilet paper or Indian toilet paper? All kidding aside, take your camera to a good camera shop or send it to Nikon.
Good Luck

Kaustav,

Try a rocket blower (Not canned air) those spots may just be dust from the toilet paper. I use the rocket blower once per week and have never had to clean my sensor(8mos). I am also carefull changing lenses. Good luck

I won;t even use toilet paper

on my own bum anymore. Pecpads and Eclipse fluid are the only way for me. Expensive, but I'm worth it, 'taint I?

So why not get it cleaned professionally for that price?

Or is that how much toilet paper costs in India?... ;> )
