inspire me (please)

Of late Ive noticed the outpour of photos of dogs, families, the anyone will do subject to learn lighting, and the self-image...

Would it be possible to see some highend fashion, beauty shots not yet posted to inspire me )ad others)...

(would LOOOOVE... to see, or read about the eq. and setup used).

If you dont have, what about sharing some awesome sights that deserve 10/10, - I want to be inspired

ta..

thanks paul

I still have your list you posted about a year ago-- nice to see the update.

Some of these shooters are so good, they don't even include contact info on their webpages.

From Paul's old list, here is one I'd add:

http://www.willycamden.com/

And just a sidenote to Paul-- I finally got a couple photos published in "Photography Monthly"! In fact, I finished 11th overall in the 2005 Photographer of the Year contest put on by PM. Not bad for a bloke WAY over on the other side of the pond and continent (west coast of the USA), eh?

Hi Pete

I love looking at other photographers' works for inspiration and have hundreds of websites bookmarked into categories like 'Fashion', 'Glamour', 'Erotic', 'Portrait', etc.

Fantastic!

Seriously, that is quite an achievmement - well done.

I'm a PM subscriber so I'll have to dig out my copies and check out your images again.

Best regards

Paul

Some shots

Posted most of these across the D70 and D200 forums. Oldies but goodies mixed in with the newer stuff.

Re: inspire me (please)

thanks paul....

i wish i could work with a couple of those guys to see how they work.....granted they are working with paid models which make a HUGE difference but WOW the way they use the lighting, is beyond me...right now...:)

I want to know how.....Eolo Perfido and Willy Camden, and that style...how they are able to have such sharp, crisp images, clean images--almost like the HDTV effect ...in what seems to be low lighting....and have all that DOF??? is it the equipment or how much PP do they do???

such amazing work!!!

In truth, I like #4, primarily, I think, because of the smile. I'm sick beyond belief of the sullen look on models and actors these days.

Stefan has some 'backstage' videos on his website which give glimpses of his photoshoots. They may interest you:

Yes, working with professional models does make a big difference.

I read an interview with Willy Camden in one of the UK photography magazines a while ago. I recall he said that 99% of everything he shoots is retouched. Having said that, he is a good photographer! As is Eolo.

you're right too many boring dogs and cats. if you do them in a fun way, i think it's acceptable.

some of those photographers in paul and silas' posts are inspiring and quite humbling.

but here's another of mine, not that i'm in the same league
