Re: ACR 3.3 has arrived and supports the D200 :-)

Thanks for the info!

I need to do more testing, but looks really promising. First conversions of D200 NEFs make me think that once again ACR does better than C1 (this is my opinion, not a fact). I am a big fan of ACR but I had to go back to C1 for the time being.

By the way, DNG converter is also available. You can convert your D200 NEFs into DNG and open them with ACR 2.4 (Photoshop CS).

I downloaded the file and installed it in the plug-in directory but it doesn't work. "HELP"

It's in the same directory as the old version that uses the same name. Find the old one and you'll know eher to put the new one.BTW it's for CS2 only.

On a windows machine it's in:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CS2\File Formats

That's great news! However, I'm not seeing thumbnail images in the Bridge (PC) - is there another step involved in getting that to work? Other that, that it's looking good!

Try This:

The Windows version must be installed in the following directory to be recognized by both CS2 and the companion Bridge browser:

\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-ins\CS2\File Formats\

Thank you!

That's the way to do it - never thought to look in the Common Files folder!

I had to flush Bridge's folder cache before it built the thumbnails. Not sure if that's how it's meant to be done though!

I still see it very well... BUT... if you go into ACR's detail tab and wind up the "Luminance Smoothing", it makes a notable difference to the images I've got
