Really nice captures Rog. Did you do all exposures for that length of time?

Did you vary exposure times and did you miss many......looks like a very active night. THanks for sharing

Re: lightning pics FZ30

yeah i used mainly 30 sec,and it wasnt too bad a show,i was at at a high vantage point though, was guite easy once i had it pointed in the right direction,i actualy used programe mode to view where the lightning was is the LCD is faster than in the starry sky mode, then swiched to starry sky mode and use the 2 sec timer

These are great Rogie (m)

I wouldn't have thought of using the starry night mode. If I ever have an opportunity to take lighting shots I'll remember your success with this setting. Thanks for posting!

Oh, and you can't be working when all that lighting is happening right? Seems like you being on those big metal dozers etc wouldn't be safe in a lightening storm!

Rogie, these are great. I like the first one best, but all are good. Lightning photos are perhaps the hardest to get, but you did well with these. Thanks for sharing.

Nice

These are nice lightning pics.

It may help if you crop it tighter so that the lightining fills the frame. It may add more impact to the already good pics.

Great shots.

Thanks for the great photos and the settings. I'm afraid I won't be able to match your photos in Southern California where lightening is quite rare.
