Raynox HD-6600-55

This wide angle convertor lense (for the FZ30) is supposed to be released this month. Has anyone seen any ads or pricing for it yet?

Remember that often you can take two or more

shots and stitch them with the Arcsoft stitcher supplied free on the CD which came with the camera ... works well .. lot cheaper than buying more glass.

Now a tele adaptor ... that is a different matter completely ... I have the x2.2

Nobody, Asian countries included, has it. Just wait a little longer. It will come as Raynox Japan firmly confirmed that this lens is being tested and will be released in November (although I suspect some delay is always possible).

From email: "this lens was specially made for the Panasonic FZ30 camera though it is optically the same lens as the DCR-6600PRO" $149 includes shipping

It may be designed for FZ-30 but with 55 mm threads, no doubt it's suitable for all FZs. I'll be one of many awaiting test reviews.

Re: Raynox HD-6600-55

I'm very curious about what's different about this new version? Apparently the thread size, for one. I have an FZ20 and a DCR-6600PRO, which I like a lot. I'm thinking of upgrading to the FZ30 and hoped I could use the DCR-6600PRO with a step ring or different adapter. Does anyone know - is that not a viable option?

Lovelife was going to sell an adapter for that but maybe thats been put on hold.
This is a work around and totally eliminates the dark corners as on the FZ20.

I will be selling a special ring for the DCR6600 when installed on the FZ30. It will produce the same results as the HD6600 on the FZ30. I expect my supply in 2 days.
