Should really have lightened it a bit in photoshop but was so pleased with it didn't think until after I posted.

I'm sure PP could bring it to the next level, but it is still a very interesting shot. I like to see "right from the camera" shots. I really like this one. Well done. Thanks for posting it "as is" so to speak.

I think it's fine the way it is as the straight-from-the-camera look contributes to the overall chilly feeling. I get cold just looking at it --- and I'm here in sunny southern California! The '30 + 6T is an effective combination for macros. I like the way the frost fringes the yellow petals.

Best Wishes,
Steve

Excellent shot. It's not easy to catch the right moment with frost. If the sun had reached it, the frost would be gone. This might have been a good spot to use the "Fuji film cannister diffuser" on the pop-up flash. Nevertheless, a very good shot.

Very nice and unique shot........I'm not familiar with the Nikon 6T.....assuming it's a close up lens? Can you explain your setup? What type of adapter you need, etc? I've been looking for a good macro setup for the FZ30. Thanks, Karen

Nikon 6T is a macro lens, you will need a 55 to 62 adaptor ring. Only had it a few days so still playing.

Beautiful shot. Difficult to choose the point of focus. I think you chose nicely.

In my taste, I would hit it with levels and sharpening in potoshop, but I almost always PP my favorites.
