There are so many rumors floating around. Can you say anything additionally that makes your info more believable?

Re: new d200 spec!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if this is real, looks pretty good, I'd still like 12MP, but with cam-2000 and 11-point, with the newer metering, it looks good.

of course, this is only the 45th version of the specs that have been posted...

Re: You had me until...

Why not?

So far the predictions seems plausible.

Now, I wonder what kind of sensor the cam has (Sony, Nikon Fuji...).

I really doubt they'd use the pro cam in the D200, I hope I'm wrong though.

Re: new d200 spec!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only 10MP! Only three cross-sensors! That's it. I give up. I'm switching to Canon. No wait, Fuji. No, Leica.

Hope you're right (or in the ballpark) on price.

Re: You had me until...

If Nikon is finally following what the market wants, I'm surprised it's not the D2-series Cam2000 that is included.

The F100 had the Cam1300 back in the days and that didn't stop the F5 from selling.

If this holds true, this D200 will be a very F100-like backup to the D2x, and a wonderful primary camera for all photographers who don't need the D2x.

Do you really expect D200 to be FF? If Nikon produces a FF it would probably be a more expensive model with a different naming than the successor of D100.

Could Multi-CAM2000-ll be the "Special Feature" ???

Since we are all speculating I am hoping the Multi-CAM2000-ll is the infamous "Special Feature" that was the talk of last month
