additional battery for fz20

Hi everyone,

I purchased the FZ3 to replace my Fuji 2800 ( 6x optical 2mgs) but returned it as it was not enough of an "upgrade". After reading this forum, I will purchase the FZ20. Does anyone have a reliable source for a well priced additonal battery ? thanks!

Re: I got one of these the other day

Bought two batteries from eagle imports via ebay....no problems....haven't noticed any longer or shorter use time than original.

Re: I got one of these the other day

I just picked up a replacement battery from power101.com for $7.00 plus shipping and it came in 4 days seems to work as well as the original Panasonic battery. Here's the thread if you want to give them a shot.

R/C hobby rechargable as external?

You can get a DPS9000 commercial external battery - screws in tripod mount hole and provides tripod mount below.

You can pick up 2000-3000 mAHr NiCad rechargable battery pack at Radio Shack or your favorite Remote Control hobbiest shop... and with a 3 1/2' lead and a 4.7mm plug (again from Radio Shack) you can have power for thousands and thousands of shots... velcro to tripod, slip in pocket or camera bag... 7.2v doesn't match 8.4v external power spec, but it turns out there's a voltage limit cct inside the camera, so 7.2v external does work well.

Think OUTSIDE the catalog!
