WDYSPTW - (22th - 29th Nov 04)
  • Last time I put this gumf... just in case there are even more E-System owners out there from last week...

What is that I hear you cry? (you newbie E-1/10/20 owners!)

'What Did You Shoot/Process This Week'

So got something of interest you want to share with the rest of the group that you took over the last week? You may not of shot it this week, but perhaps you've played with it in Photoshop/PaintShopPro this week. Be it for opinion, a question or just to share - post it here... All are welcome from pictures of your pet goldfish to a professionally lit studio shot.
Credit goes to OzRay who kindly brought this over from his previous MTF haunt.

Every Monday (yes I know its late 'again' this week - I've been on Holiday!) a new 'WDYSPTW' will be posted, this will cover from that Monday to the following Monday.

Nothing to post yet, will hopefully have something to show by the end of the day.

Out for a walk in the local woods. Very dull grey day, not much colour around, then I noticed something very colourful in the trees by a river. It was a rare sighting (in my locality) of a kingfisher. Unfortunatley it was very far away and even with the 50-200 at full zoom, I could only manage this one before it flew away. The auto focus unfortunately locked onto the large branch some distance in front of the bird. And theres probably some camera shake to add to the blurred result. If only I had the 300mm !

Not a whole lot, but here's a few. Mostly 25% downsized from full.

Mushroom macro. I find fungi vaguely unsettling for some reason.

This one also creeps me out a bit.

100% crop below. Spent a while waiting for the ducks to fly, watched 'em mostly spend their time grooming themselves. Maybe they fly more earlier in the day.

Not very creative, but cute. I wouldn't recommend trying to take that nut away.

This wild turkey did not seem happy with my chasing her. Not too surprising, really. I spent some time unsuccessfully hunting it with the E-1
+ 50-200mm f/2.8-3.5 while waiting for my laundry to finish.

If you can visualize it, then create it in the camera, finish it off with the print that matches your mind's eye then you are, most likely, a master...

After an unusual lapse of typical teenager model rebellion, I was able to grab this shot of my son.

I then paid him the promised 20 bucks and we were all happy.

Re: WDYSPTW - moving up!

bill,

i like this b/w image...it has great depth...perhaps I might have mirrored the wispy white clouds from the top right of the image to the top left and deleted them from the right.

kind regards

Nick
