About the remote-IR time limit

Easy...

There are 4 buttons on the case...

One is for shutter release... easy enough.

Two are for zoom, which is not supported via the IR, so they will likely be configured to simply turn the DigiSnap off.

The last is for time-lapse control. If you press and hold the button for more than about 2 seconds, the LED will start to blink, once per second. Keep holding it for two blinks (two more seconds) then release, and you have configured it for a 2 second time-lapse! Press the time-lapse button again (quick press & release), and it will start the time-lapse process. Press again when you want it to stop.
