DSC-P100 mixed feelings

Hi everybody

This is my first post to this forum, thanks for great website and a lot of useful information.

I was a happy owner of DSC-P10, the only complain I had was a quite pronounsed barrel distortion at wide angle. After reading all positive reviews decided to upgrade to P-100. I know this has been posted already by many users but just wanted to share my experience with those still looking for this camera.

At first I thought it was a great improvement since the camera is so quick, amazing battery life, zeiss lens etc. But now after some weeks of using it I realize that about 80% of my shots are either out of focuse or blurry (yes I read the manual and this is not my first camera I also have a 35 SLR which I was using for many years). Pictures seem blurry and I think similar results could be achieved by a disposable camera with a plastic lens.

Unfortunately I have no option of money back or replacement so my only hope is that SONY will listen to its users (especially after spending so much on memory sticks, proprietary flashes etc). When I look to my my P10 pictures I beleive it was a downgrade rather than an upgrade.

Who needs longer battery life if each time coming back home and downloading pics to your PC you feel like a kid who did not get what he wanted for his birthday.

Cheers

Hike
