I'm considering buying one - actually, my finger is right on the 'order' button. I've seen so beautiful examples (mostly on Nikons, sorry), and the lens is not really cheap (96$), but not expensive either...
Anyone tried it on the 1D Mk II ? I would be interested seeing examples...
Thanks...

Surely it's cheaper just to buy a Canon 38-76 (the Kit lens for the EOS5000), it's a REAL coke bottle and AF too :) . should be able to get one for a third of the price of a lens baby and that distorts and blurry edges too..

There are some comical Sigmas and Tamrons you could try such as the original 28-200 models from both (wide open only with the Sigma as it'd need chipping), the Tamron 28-80 and for real fun the Cosina/Phoenix 28-210, that makes a lensbaby look like an L !!..

Seriously, I've never seen the attraction to the Lensbaby or the camera it's mimicking and would rather play with junk AF lenses instead ;-)

Ack!! But it's a waste of a good lens to mount it unto such a soft camera with a faulty vertical shutter release button!! And I don't think the autofocus in the mk II is good enough for a Holga lens.

makes me want to run right out

and buy $96 worth of beer

buy a 96 cent jar of vaseline and smear it on your lens. You'll get the same effect.

Can't you do both with Panorama Tools? If you can't then I shouldn't have answered because that means I don't know what they do!

You can do perspective correction and selective blurring in photoshop. If you practice with it a bit it's about as good as actually having tilt and shift.

I was totally excited about buying a lensbaby until I saw the price. Normally crappy optics are cheap, but it seems like if you cross over the line of absolute crappiness all of a sudden you're aiming towards the fine art market and you can charge anything you want. You can go buy a really old and cheap nikon or canon lens off of ebay just for the mount and make your own lensbaby for less than $20.

Got it. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

But if you have lots of DOF you can do the perspective adjustment in any of the four directions using PanoTools.

no you cant. There is no way currently to tilt the focal plane in
post processing. That would require 3 dimensional data to be
available so you could change the focus in post processing.
