I use kit lens 60% , 12-24 35% and 60 2.8 5% on my job.

For me I'm not good to control tele photo lens like 70-200VR.
It is too big,too long focus distance especially with digital camera (1.5x).
Most of all a big lens will shock the subject when I point it to him(or her).

Don't worry about that, It's up to you styles.

The wide angle lens is hard to controls too.
A lot of thing in the scene you have to concern.
Complex lighting may confuse camera metering.

I'm a small guy,so I prefer 12-24 : )
