Most, if not all, photographs are taken in "Manual" mode and are hand-held shots. I have not done much post-processing either.

Photography is only my hobby and am in the learning phase, so I appreciate your comments on the different aspects (composition, exposure, metering etc) of my photos.

Please let me know, if there is any free-website where I can upload photos with exif data. Thanks,
Javal

Hi Javal,

I have a few question to ask you.

1) Is S1 able to print photos up to A4 in sizes & the quality is sharp, am i right to say that ?

2) Will there be a lot of purple fringing, vignetting or other problem that you faced?

3) Is the auto focus fast?

Please advice

Gday Javal,

I really enjoyed your photos, I can't comment other than to say I thought all the photos are really good, (I am learning also), hope you get some feedback,

Ray

i have not printed anything bigger than 5x7 and, of course, they were crystal clear.
2) Will there be a lot of purple fringing, vignetting or other
problem that you faced?
when i went for rock climbing, rope with sky in the background had some purple fringing (a couple of silhouettes had too) but other than that i was trying to work with S1's strength rather than working against its limitations...so didnt have much problem. I would say, for normal purposes I would not worry about it. some may have different opinion/experience though.
3) Is the auto focus fast?
yup. i didnt have any problem.

as far as indoor low light photos are concerned, i tried below mentioned setting suggested by on some other thread here and it worked for me.

(-1.5 meters focal distance - wide angle - F4.5 - no slow synchro - Auto Iso - Flash +-0)

hope this helps.

what is the exif data? do you download it from your camera also? or do you write it down?
EXIF data: digital cameras save camera settings used for the photo with the image. image processing software and most online-photo-hosting websites read that data automatically.
did u use pasm? which
what is pasm?
great pictures? all with the S1?
yes. all are S1 pics.

Javal

PASM is: Program, Aperture(priority), Speed(priority), Manual

;^P

Do you have an example of the EXIF data in online-photo-hosting? I have looked for that information but I cannot find it on posted pictures.

thanx
